2.2. Isolation and identification of individual microbial strains in
the enrichment culture
Microorganisms were isolated from the enrichment culture by
growing in base medium containing 1.5% agar and stored at 70
C
in 20% glycerol. Microorganisms in enrichment cultures were
identified using a commercially available kit (Genotech, Daejeon,
Korea). The 16S rDNA gene sequences were blasted and aligned
with multiple sequence data in the GenBank database using the
BLAST algorithm, as well as the CLUSTALWand PHYLIP programs.
